     Work hasn't exactly been pleasant. My dept has finally become full-staffed after nearly two years, but it doesn't feel that way because one of the women I work with (who now has two small children) can't seem to come in on a consistent basis because something seems to be perpetually wrong with the children. This means that I can't pass on the stuff I used to do to her and she can't pass on the stuff she does to the next person down on the totem pole. Meaning I'm over worked and the person she supervises is under worked (at least according to this person who really wants to be kept busy, but doesn't feel like taking the initiative to find the work). We've hired a new entry level a while ago and she's taking bit to get trained up... now we've got a office move coming up and what amounts to a large culture shift and this entry level person being pulled in two different directions.
      The move to the new office is going to be interesting. My dept is still trying to purge stuff that we are allowed to. Then we've got to pack and the movers will be shifting stuff the end of next week. Naturally the office for my dept was last to be thought of and we're kind of stuck in the middle of the main office suite with a weird sort of layout. I'm not looking forward to it, though the office suite on the whole is very nice and we're getting all new furniture.
      These changes and the lack of staff I can count on, in addition to the fiscal year end has made work a place I've been dreading.
