Interview done... now we wait again.
I interviewed for the new gig yesterday. It's not really a new job, more of a promotion, but to the state it's a new job. I was the only internal candidate and I've already been recommended for the position. Now it's just a matter of getting the word from HR at the system office as to whether I get the job and at what pay rate. My boss was cool and recommended that I get a two step pay raise instead of just one. Providing I get the job I will at least get the one step pay raise ($.62/hr) and hopefully get the two step ($1.41/hr). Then in January we'll all get a 5% raise. Still rather underpaid, but at least to me it will seem like a nice bump.
