Little emperor, most beloved,

Gaius mouldeds't he not,
A viper that Rome brought.
Bred him thou, Tiberus?
Whilst he hailed divi filus.
Tyrant! Depravity, meet
Smeared thy serpent sweet.
Dagger upon thy breast,
But halt! His hand rest.
Lies him in wait, hissing
Soon, glory thou blazing.
Let there be one Lord, one King!
Apollo, Mercury, Hercules,
Divi filius he claims not,
Neos Helios he has wrought.
