(no subject)
I just saw a piece of "news" on the fansite. Louisa and Michelle are doing a variety show on food (at least, that is what i gathered, but my chinese is kind of fail, so decide if you want to believe me or not). The people at the fansite are elated because if Michelle eats, then she will gain weight, and yes, i do agree with them that. I think she has lost weight, probably from around end 2008, if you asked me to make a guess. And I would go on to say that its because she’s been working like crazy since 2007. Though I think it’s not how much she eats but rather how much she works, and we all know that she’s been working crazily since 2007. But she was supposed to go on a break (keyword: supposed), though we all know that it never happened, so after Women hurt the most, there was the Taipei palace show (?) and now this.
So wish that this was a drama instead of a food show okay!! ._. Because both Michelle and Louisa are fantastic actresses (in my opinion), and I love to watch both of them act. So if they were in the same show, then it would be even more worthwhile to watch-even if it was one of them it would be worthwhile already. But then lately Louisa has been plagued with many bad/lousy/fail shows. Like Bride for a ride +wintermelon+ wasabi bon armour. Basically a whole load of shyt which is not worth watching. Not to mention that the supporting cast really sucks, and she doesn’t really get very meaty roles. Maybe that is a hasty generalization, but whatever. If there was Louisa in a Michelle show, I think I would watch the whole show instead of skipping parts with people I can’t stand. Think rainbow connection/beyond, I was fast-forwarding like mad. In my honest opinion, I think that Louisa is a better actress than quite a few older veterans. Yes, I think she could technically be counted as a veteran but I wouldn’t classify her as the bunch of older veterans, because she fundamentally started of doing theatre, so I don’t think you can call it the same thing. Plus she’s like 10+ years younger than the older veterans. With that I also mean that I think her acting is better than the actresses of her era too, even though she hasn’t been acting for the television for as long as they have. It would be so cool to have both of them acting in one drama, and then if we throw in a couple of other good actors/actresses, and a good script (gosh) then we can have a nice show ^^ But I think this won’t happen because we all know what happened to seasons of fate. Despite having a very strong main cast (esther+roger+michelle) and a strong supporting cast (derek kwok+ng wai kwok+elena kong), the show didn’t perform all that well. Why? Because there are no people like charmaine/kevin/people like that to draw in their humongous fanclubs. I think it has something got to do with the fact that at the start, the storyline was very cheesy too. So T.T
That just reminded me of how similar I think Michelle and Louisa are :D From what I see, they are honestly very similar.
