Hello people, I'll be playing in Voyage to the Orient, NUS Symphony Orchestra's annual gala concert. It's at UCC, so it should be really convenient for those of you who are living on campus.
Anyway, we're playing Peter Sculthorpe's Piano Concerto, this rather nice 20th century concerto that's partly inspired by classical Japanese court music and Balinese gamelan music. And our soloist is Geoffrey Saba, a rather well-known UK-based Australian pianist. We're also playing Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, which is one of those nice, big Russian orchestral works that reminds people of film scores and Hans Zimmer and all that.
If you guys are interested, just let me know and I'll get tickets for you all. There's a 20% discount if you get them through me. So yep. :D
