Had Pistol on the couch with me last night.
When I got up to pack, picked Bullet up onto the couch so they can sit together.
I wheeled the luggage out of the spare room.
Bullet was licking Pistol's ear, so his right ear was folded back. He had heard the wheels, his left ear pricked and he was sitting very straight. He was staring at me as I emerged from the doorway, looking very worried. *chucklez* oooooh I love teasing him. That look is too cute.
When I got to my bedroom, heard the husband asking him,"where's Mümmy going?"
Within seconds Pistol was by my side, looking at me with questioning eyes, eyeing the suitcase worriedly and sniffing everything.
How not to love this little darling? He acts this way with my suitcase ever since my first trip away from him when he was a tiny 6 month-old. After that trip he learnt suitcase = disappearing mummy.
Before I left this morning, said bye to Bullet and decided not to say bye to Pistol. He was in the backyard, and I thought he probably will just think I'm not there, gone to work as per normal instead of getting distressed about me leaving with a suitcase and crying the house down before 6 in the morning.
Wrong.
Heard a whimper from Bullet in her room as I was leaving.
When I rang the husband from the airport, I was informed that when he let Pistol in, Pistol bolted straight to the front door and was crying.
Oh little darling...
