On Saturday morning, I had the husband and the little one as my first passengers in the car :)
She looks seh3 doesn't she? ;)
Off to the Farmer's Market we went. People at this market are beginning to recognise her. She's
stirred and ruffled some feathers before. This time again! Apparently there're 2 markets run by different people, 1 on the 2nd week of the month, the other on the 4th week of the month at the exact same location! But we showed them the email we received that said yes, dogs are welcome. So in this one same location, it doesn't make sense to tell us "council rules", duh!!!!! Thankfully the people at the gates were sensible and accepted the email reference and Bullet sauntered through the market with no hassles at all :)
And we spotted our beloved smokehouse!! More smoked hocks, smoked trout and bacon......*sigh of contentment*
And the husband busied himself in the kitchen making a huge pot of pea and ham soup for the week. *SLURPZ*
And he went "won't be too difficult* and proceed to bake a Vienna Loaf!!
:D
The loaf was pretty damn good!!!!! It was the husband's first attempt!! A few more tweaks I reckon and it will be the exact texture we love!
Sunday dinner was a ham hock with garlic butter mushrooms and oven grilled cherry tomatoes pasta. As well as a smoked trout pasta.
Pasta, soup and bread on cold wintry Melbourne days.
Food cooked with love.
Food that warms the tummy and soul.
Perfect.
