NERDY UPDATE! LOL..Wow an actual decent update :O
So since last update, Halo 2, probably the most anticipated game of the year, finally came out. I waited in line for my copy like most of the hardcore gamers RARRR lol. So I got my copy, fiddled with singleplayer, its awesome. But the real fun is in multiplayer just like it was in the original Halo.
So, this past week I finally played multiplayer for the first time in MONTHS. Possibly in a year. The first time I touched multiplayer I played a 2 vs. 2 King of the Hill and my partner and I won the game. Then we won another game. Now keep in mind, this is the first time I'd touched multiplayer in forever.
So today/yesterday (Sunday) my younger brother and I played in a Halo 2 tournament at the comic shop here in town. Its a cool little place, they have a mix of a lot of stuff but its a comic shop. So the first game, we played the team to beat. The 2 best guys basically. They were the 2 guys I did not want to play first round, but of course we did. And of course we lost. Mostly do to being too anxious and charging against them too much. So we thought that was it but it turned out that they were doing it a "swiss" style that I'm still not sure what it means lol. So the next game we played, we pretty much got an easy win although they got us a few good times. The next game, we played against my brothers friends from school and just demolished them with a final score of like 25-5. They were cool though, but they got a little mad at us lol. But its all in good fun anyway. So then the next game we played was against a couple of kids who did good, but we still beat them. My brother is MEAN with a sniper. He's VERY VERY good at the game, better than me and I admit it lol. He's a Halo freak and has hours of multiplayer time under his belt. So the next game was the final four, and we completely demolished them. The final score was 25-3 or 25-4 I think, it was fairly easy which shocked me. So then the big final game. The 2 guys we faced in the final had played the 2 guys that I didn't wanna play the first game, and lost, but due to scores they played again and won. (Incase thats confusing, the two original guys we played the first game played the two guys we played in the final game. The first game those 2 teams played, the two guys I didn't want to face in round 1, won, and then the last game the two I didn't wanna face lost.) So anyway..we played in the finals and it was close the entire time. It would be like 7-7 then 10-10 and then 15-15. At one point we had it up 23-20 and they got us a few good times, then all of a sudden it was 24-23 us. My heart was pounding and adrenaline was pumping. It came down to my brother with a sniper rifle and an overshield against a guy with a shotgun. My bro tried to hit him with the sniper but missed and the guy with the shotgun was right up on him. Luckily the overshield saved him for a second. So like a split second before he killed my brother, my bro stuck the other guy with a plasma grenade and blew him up to make it 25-24 and we won. My heart was beating so fast. I was getting shot from behind I think so if my brother hadn't gotten that kill, they would have gotten me and won. But luckily he had superb aim and timing at the end and pulled it our for us. We won a total of $60 and split it for $30 a piece, so we made $25 a piece since the entry fee was $5. I couldn't believe it, I was shocked as hell and still am. It was awesome :)
Thats really it..I'll be leaving Wednesday for Thanksgiving and won't be back until like Monday of the next week. Gonna do some serious Halo 2 playing this week :)
