Hey guys, so, Ultimate Marvel canon blows. Except Ultimate X-Men, even if their lives all suck with the power of a super-vacuum. I just read Ultimates 3 and I just feel like the Ultimate canon could've been a great opportunity to reimagine the characters in new and interesting ways. Instead, the Ultimates follow right in the footsteps of the Avengers fucking their interpersonal relationships to hell and being generally more screwed up than their regular counterparts, which is apparently possible. Though I will say I really do like Ultimate Hawkeye/Clint Barton for being quite nearly a batshit, PTSD-riddled, suicidal nutjob. Also Ultimate Jamie Madrox sucks out loud and really should've lasted more than, oh, three pages before said sociopathic Clint shot him full of holes. And I'm not even going to go into Valkyrie. She'd probably be pretty awesome if she weren't Thor's nineteen-year-old Mary-Sue ex-groupie girlfriend. I'm not even kidding.
So, yeah, I'm alive. Sitting around reading comics and missing my laptop and struggling to get a job, but alive.
