i love saturdays
today was a good day. i slept over at jessie's house last night and we woke up this morning at around 9 cause we were gonna go look for a prom dress for jessie. we got bagels and drove to alexandria to go to this dress shop that was in Old Town. well, the dress shop wasnt quite what we expected, but they told us about 2 more dress shops in old town so we walked to both of them (one wasn't open, and the other was a store with no formal wear). we walked back to the car, and got a little lost going home (apparently you hafta go on 495 toward richmond, not 495 toward baltimore to get home from alexandria). we finally got home, and i had to come straight home to take a shower and get ready for my dad's graduation ceremony. he graduated today from his counselor thing.
after i was dressed and ready, we all went to my dad's ceremony (me, my sister, my brother in law, my nephew, my ema and opa, my uncle john (dad's brother) and my aunt rosan (dad's sister)...she flew in from california for my dad's graduation. the ceremony was SO BORING, but my family is pretty amusing, so we just kinda talked and made jokes the whole time.
after the ceremony, we came home to have a party (we ordered LOTS of food) and my aunt catherine and cousin lily came. the party was fun...we all ate a lot...lol. i like hanging out with my dad's side of the family. we're all so laid back and we all get along so well, it's great. amanda came over for a little while and had a little bit of food and met my family. then my dad's friend dina came over (they team teach together). she's only 28, so she's closer in age to me than to my dad. it's kinda weird..haha. i like dina a lot. i talked to her for a really long time. she loves sex and the city so we definitely talked about that for a while. she's really cool.
anyway, it was a good day. tomorrow is the senior recital..oh god im soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo not excited for that. im really tired, so im gonna go bed now. g'night!
