Belated Weekend Recap

April 1
It must have been a cruel joke, because it seemed like one thing happened after another. Archelle made plans to have her birthday celebration on April 1st. The following week, I received a message from Diane telling me she was having her birthday party on the same day. By then, I had already commited to Archelle's plans, and had to back out of Diane's. If I was super woman, I would have been at two places at once.

Brian was running late because of some confusion about his memory card. Just when he was heading out, his mom calls him from the door and yells at him. "What are you wearing?! It's so ugly! Go change!!!" On his way down, he hits traffic and ends up at my place around 7:45 instead of 6:30 as planned. I was put back a half hour because I was fiddling around with fake lashes. By the end of that ordeal, I just chucked the idea of having them on. I don't know how you girls get those things on, but it was impossible for me!!

The night started at Yuk Yuk's. As soon as Brian and I found a parking spot, I realized I left my money AND ID at home. Stupid me, decided at the last minute not to carry a purse and forgot to take out my money and ID. Luckily we didn't pay the dude at the parking lot and was able to leave. If we had paid him earlier (there was a "NO REFUNDS" sign), I would have been pretty pissed. So, Brian and I ended up driving back to my place to pick up my stuff. By the time we got back, the show at Yuk Yuk's had ended. We met with the crew outside and then headed to Montana's to chill before going to Afterlife.

When we reached Afterlife, some guy I was seeing before was the bouncer at the door. Greatttt...Not that we broke it off on bad terms, but let's just say it's awkward everytime I see him. All goes well until we decide to head upstairs to the patio for a smoke. Brian and I just bought our drinks and we were told there were no drinks allowed upstairs. I never chugged down a beer so quick in ages. I felt so full I didn't want my smoke anymore.

The night goes well until I nearly fell on my face going down a set of stairs *shakes head*

It just wasn't my night. But I did have fun nonetheless. The music was great but, I have never seen an uglier and younger crowd in my life. Dennis told me I was just getting "old".

I've been clubbing way too much this year. But I like it. I guess not working weekends anymore has its perks. I miss the night life, but I still don't understand how some of you can do it every weekend. Kudos to you!
