so, the Barker proved to be more cunning and wiley than the Leto, but he did not defeat us! While Leto hunting was a gentle, peaceful encounter, Barker hunting was like being thrown in a fox hunting, chasing down the elusive animal with a pack of hunters in close pusuit of the same prize. My mating calls were useless as the Barker was stunned by the noise and flashing lights that surrounded him. He seemed endeared as he saw my photo of him, lovingly printed on photo paper, and he took it out of my hand, patted me on the hand, and signed some scribley nonsense with a star next to it...i think it says something, but what i cant tell...
The 8th of November has indeed proved to be eventful. ....I didn't even mention how last week I talked to Jason from Authority Zero and got his autograph....again....and i also got a nice, sweaty hug with his shirt off....mmmm....Ross was there for that one. Encounters with Authority Zero are always so laid back and nice....nothing at all like the frenzie that was BARKER HUNTING.
After getting on the bus, he came out again to jump in a get away car...and for a hot minute Travis Barker was right behind me, in my car....but they ducked out and turned (without a turn signal) and I lost them from there....I was hoping for a 'chance' encounter at a local diner...but no such dice this time....Barker and Hoppus weren't hungry....but the majestic blink creatures are to be respected and given space....can you believe some one yelled, "there he is, hold him, dont let him get away!" when the Barker tried to sneak out with the band equipment? Talk about insensitve....The Barker has feelings too! Mandi and I felt bad that he was being so crowded, so we tried to hang back...but these big, lumbering teenage guys kept stepping on us....I feel for The Barker....being the rare creature that he is, he is hunted like this everywhere.....mmmmm.....
