'gitar' Chris....and Chainsaws....and CDs .....oh my!

So Matty and I went downtown yesterday and we took pictures of the city. We didn't really get as much accomplished as I had hoped, but perhaps I got a few good shots in there. The reason we had to do it all over again was because the photoshoot that I had done on Wenesday night didn't come out well at all. I was pretty sure that the photos weren't going to look so good because we aren't able to use a flash when we take our photos, but I was going to try anyhow.

I met the most adorable man out on the street. His name is Chris and he plays guitar for a living apparently. He was sitting in front of fortunato's with an old amp, a guitar and a harmonica playing his heart out. He would sing about the women who walked passed him, and he played the best music. He even sang a Johnny Cash song, which got me to stay longer and listen to him. He is  very much a democrat, and he was telling us about his new album, "President Bush us a nazi scum bag'. I wish I had gotten better photos of him.  I did record him singing a song though, even if it was by Jimmy Buffet. The Recording turned out pretty well.

Besides that I also wanted to discuss the movie that I watched last night, namely  THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSCARE!!!! I freaking loved the movie. I was very well done if I do say so myself. There were so many beautifully done scenes, so many artistically shot sequences, it amazed me to see just how much thought was given to filming this movie from the cinematic perspective. You think horror movie, you think cheese, but this was so well done cinematically, I was uber impressed. Beyond that though, it kicked ass I must admit. There were so many fucked up parts, so much gore and blood. bIt really is awfully hard to pick one part and say it was my fanorite. that movie was very awesome, and I'd probably go see it again. :)

I also purchased about 10 new cd's last night as well. I always tend to do that when ever I go into Daddy Kools. I can't help that I adore music and they happen to have a crap load of good stuff.  Here is a fun little list of music:

The Cure- Paris
Nine Inch Nails- Pretty Hate Machine
The Sex Pistols- Never Mind the bollocks
The John Stamos Project- North American All-Stars
Hellogoodbye- S/T  EP
Ben Kweller- S/T
Audioslave- S/T
Billy Corgan- The Future Embrace
Snow Patrol- Live at Somerset House DVD

There is also a cool new store opened called the laughing gnome that Matty and I hung out in for a bit. They basically have all of the old inventory from Star Booty and are selling those items.  One day I'd love to own my very own eclectic shop on central avenue peddling music related merchandise and other various thrifty wares.  perhaps one day I might get up the gumption  to do such a foolish thing with my money....
