(no subject)
So I now I have 3 versions of my resume: one for writing-related professions such as for postions at publishing companies, one for social service positions, and another more general one for random jobs. I just have too much stuff to fit everything on each one. So now I'm going to write up 3 different general cover letters that can be easily altered for when I actually begin submitting them to places.
My entire family thinks I should work at DCFS (Department of Children and Family Services) where my sister works. I'll probably end up stuck there no matter what I do, so I might as well just accept that fate, but a little voice inside of me is telling me to try other stuff before totally giving up hope. I do NOT want to work at DCFS. It's too depressing. Why does everyone think my sister drinks as much as she does?

I think I want to move to another town. Or city. Or state. I'd love to go live in either New York or New Mexico. Or Colorado. Or California...hell, anywhere's gotta be better than this corn-and-bean craphole called Illinois. Sorry if I've offended any fellow Illinoians. I just need a change. A big one.
