Something came up in case mangagement today that I didn't know about, and I'm rather pissed off.

Apparently one of our local homeless shelters REQUIRES the people who stay there to attend church THREE times a week. And not just any church of their choice--only ONE church that the agency supports. And they have nightly required Bible studies based on that church's beliefs. So say you are Jewish or Mormon or Catholic, you can't attend the church you are a member of if you want to stay at this shelter. You have to change churches and basically become Pentecostal.

WTF? I will NOT be recommending that particular shelter to any clients from here on out, because that's just NOT right. You wanna help somebody? You shouldn't stipulate they have to bow down to strict religious guidelines in order to do so. That's pushing an agenda, not helping.
