2003 Thoughts, 2004 Resolutions, and my new Alias obsession
My favorite TV moments from 2003:
1. Third Watch, "Ladies Day." Bosco quote: I told you. I can talk to her without ever talking.
2. Alias, eppie title unknown. SD6 has been shut down. Sydney and Vaughn share their first kiss.
3. The Buffy the Vampire Slayer finale.
4. Third Watch, "The Price of Nobility."
Faith: Why me, Bosco? Why is it always me?
Bosco: Because you're the only one. Faith, I don't have anyone else. *sighs*
5. Alias, episode unknown, 3rd season.
Vaughn (to Sydney, of course): Even though everything's changed...some things never do. I won't lose you twice.
6. Cher's final concert performance on NBC 4/8/03. Quote about Britney Spears and J-Lo.
Cher: I wanted to make it (her final concert) real fabulous so I could say, "Follow this, you bitches!"
My Least Favorite TV moments from 2003
1. Buffy the Vampire Slayer finale--Anya's death. Come on. Did she -really- need to be hacked into two pieces?
2. Third Watch, "The Price of Nobility." Alex Taylor's death. What's with the gruesome deaths in 2003? New TV trend? Must have missed that memo...
3. Angel, season four. Cordelia being evil and later comatized. Lame. Oh-so-very-lame.
4. Angel, season three/four. Angel's son Connor. Please. Can we say stupidity?
5. Third Watch, Bosco/Cr*z's "relationship" season four. This gave me Max/Tess, Mulder/Diana Fowley flashbacks. *SHUDDERS*
6. Buffy the Vampire Slayer being cancelled. That just sucks. Pun intended. Get it? Vampire...sucks...nevermind. Yeah, it was lame :)
7. Buffy the Vampire Slayer, episode unknown. Xander gets his eye poked out. One word: ICK.
8. Evanescence's live performance at the AMA's. Buy their CD--it's great. But change the channel when they perform live.
9. Third Watch. Faith/Bosco's break-up, "Everybody Lies." It was just painful. I wanted to cry for days.
My 2004 New Year's Resolutions
1. Be true to myself. I'm sick of doing/saying/agreeing with the people around me just to keep the peace. I'm a person, I have my own opinion and I have the right to express that opinion. Anyone who doesn't like it can...well...get over it.
2. Go horseback riding. Something I've always wanted to do but never have.
3. Stay in frequent contact with my cousin Jessica. Won't be hard to do since I've been in contact with her for some time now.
4. Finish 'Between Time.'
5. Finish 'One Breath.' (Angel fic)
6. Finish 'The Motions of Falling.'
7. Finish 'Blood Ties II: Evil Never Dies.'
8. Get back to writing my own original stories/poems.
9. Get one thing published be it an article, essay, short story or poem.
10. Go to New York City. By far the most difficult of the resolutions, but not impossible. I have an aunt and uncle who live in Ashburn, VA, and it's conceivable that I stay with them for a couple weeks this summer and take a train from D.C. up to NYC. We'll see though.
Now, my new favorite topic, Alias.
I love Alias. I watched the fourth episode tonight. "Heartbroken." The scene with Syd/Vaughn on the docks was so awesome. I'm going to permit myself to watch at least two eppies tomorrow whilst I finally clean my room, cause...well, it's a holiday. :)
