I had a dream tonight
The time was still light
There was no one but myself
Me and the earth itself
Time flew fast
The day seemed only to last
Watched grass grow so very high
In there effort to reach the sky
Sharply, quickly falling to ground
So swift with not a sound
In such a race against the seasons
We race for the same reasons
In our race against time
To see how far we can climb
Before its time to meet our end
Do what we can to defend
But we all know it has to end
We will know, when we start to descend
I woke from this actualization
With utter thoughts of desperation
I crave and all I can think of is you
Suddenly it all came into view
And how I messed up things
And the thing you said is all that rings
How that's all I think about since that night
Times running out, I want to make things right
How many times do I have to say it?
How many times to admit?
That I was wrong
How long
Till I get a chance
To advance
