Another quick update (once again dictated to
rose_childe)
and thanks to all the comments on previous entries, which are always read to me : )
I'm still blind!!! Originally I had a gas bubble to hold the retina in place post op, so I couldn't see though that. That is now gone but when I went to the Dr on Tuesday my eye pressure was 3x what it should have been... First they did an ultrasound on my eye, then they numbed it with drops, then stuck a great big needle of pain killers into the bottom of my eye, then stuck a few more needles in to take out the blood and replace it with an air bubble... Terrifying as this was, I'm pleased to say that I didn't feel a thing - which is a good job cause there could be a few more of those in the pipeline!
I go back on Thursday of next week to find out if it is still bleeding... If it's not then I may be able to start seeing things with the bubble gone.
In other news, I think the TV has mixed up Halloween and the General Election... Though maybe it is just my mind blurring it all.
ooh... with the gas bubble I had to be face down 75% of the time which was DEATH for my back, but with the air bubble I just have to avoid laying on my back which is much better.
