Sara's Entry.
As we sit in our homes to later leave for work and/or school, we sometimes run all our goals that we have set out for ourselves in our minds, hearts and for those who haven't forgotten that we have souls, we run the righteousness through our souls...we ponder whether the missions we have set are to please ourselves or our parents or even only to please society. However, many of us do not even go through that step, we just act blindly; we do as we are told. We are told how to dress, that the dishes must be done by a certain time, we are told all assignments must be presented typed, double-spaced, and to be clear and concise, we are told we must measure up to whom ever has stood in our position before us, we must do the same but better. We are told that we must respect our responsibilities and attend to all the needs of those people that have stated that we must do whatever they deem important, we must follow orders.
With each new day a different set of choices must be made, we must choose who we are going to let be and who we are going to sacrifice for the betterment of the greater population. The betterment they say, we must rid of those who stand in our way, we must silence those with ideals, and we must destroy all beauty and serenity for humans are scared of peace. We may run out of things to do if all people helped one another. What would become of the world once all was mended back together, what would become of humans once we helped each other, what would be nature’s purpose if she was not to try to re-cooperate from the damage we have inflicted on her? Millions would go out of employment if we helped each other. Corporations would meltdown, the military would run in circles, and money seekers would die of hunger for money has no role in happiness.
We watch as others debate the role of the government, we listen to what the governing boards have to say about what must be done and who should do it, we turn our backs on any tasks that is not on the approved curriculum, we interpret the word of the Lords in such a way so that whatever mission we set out to complete is deemed as right, we act to justify ignorance.
We are led by fear; fear drives us to accomplish the tasks that have been laid out for us, tasks that have been invented out of fear. The leading fear of all mankind is death, the one up-most and natural event that all humans must attain. Why do we cause our greatest fear, why do we do to others what we would never want for our own children, they say we must kill so that it does not happen to our children, where is the common sense?
The greatest misinterpretation is a line of the bible “an eye for an eye”, if someone takes your sight and then you take his sight, have you restored your sight, what have you gained? Peace of mind because you are now both blind? What have you gained by doing something that you would never want to be done to you or your children? What have you gained? Tell me for I will listen.
People of this world hear me now, for tomorrow will be too late, our world is sick and you know this. You know that millions of children die each day, you know that the earth is crying, she is crying none stop, we poke, we prod, we inject, we rip, we pull and we deplete all her resources, all the resources that she has given to us as a gift, a gift that allows us to live, to live our pathetic lives that we assure ourselves and to others, each morning we assure that our lives are important and are marked by purpose. State your purpose for I will listen.
How many more signs do we need to wake up? How many more disgusting things do we need to see or hear about before we stand up? How many more chunks of the earth must we destroy, how many more deaths must we witness, how many more machines must we built to sustain human life because the natural one has disappeared, how many will it take for you to wake up and stand up? How many more leaders that are driven by fear must we elect before we realize that there is no more world to run?
We live as horse with blinders on and we sure as hell are all racing, where are you going, I ask? Will you be happier there? Will your children be safer there? Will you be healthier and at peace with yourself? That gold metal is so important, yet you are still scared to die? Will that gold metal grant you a ticket to avoid death?
For all those that read this and say what can I do, I am one person? I say, I am one person too. We are all one person, only one. And for every one person there is another, we are linked to family, friends, and fellow workers, we are linked. We are linked through the purposes we have given ourselves, we are also linked by our race…we are all humans…we are, we are one great body, a body composed of trillions of humans, we are not one person, we are people and we are many, tomorrow is to late for today needs us, today is when you act, today is our gift, the present is our power, now is all powerful because you can and must act every millisecond, you have that power, it is your choice of what you want to do with that power. Stop talking, act instead, lead by example, people will follow, we are all followers, always have been…
