swimming with snakes.

TRUE STORY:
so like. i havent gone out in the sun in months, literally.
but we all know a LITTLE bit of sun is good for you, so i decided i would get some today. when i say some, i mean i went out for 20 mins.
well, while i was outside in the sun, i decided that i was going to go for a swim. because besides wanting to get a little sun, ive decided to be a little more active. yesterday, i did yoga.. and today im very sore because of it, and decided against doing it again today. im going to wait until im not as sore. and walking/jogging/running is boring.. and i havent gone swimming in like 8 years. and thats not an exaggeration either.
so i jump in and im swimming. and though i dont believe you can ever forget how to swim, i absolutely SUCK at swimming.
BUT ALL OF THIS IS BESIDE THE POINT.
im swimming along im swimming along. and if youve seen my swim suit, its a black string bikini so of course theres some long black strings flowing when i swim. but for some reason while im swimming, this black thing flowing behind me JUST DOESNT LOOK RIGHT.
but i decided it just looked funny under the water or something. so i swim away.. and i look back.. and that black thing... it didnt follow. so im like OMGZ0RZ.. and i get to the edge of the pool and look back and i realize...
ITS A MOTHER FUCKING SNAKE!!
and im like omg that thing was all up onz.
but im not actually afraid of snakes and it really wasnt that big, so i was about to go in after it to rescue it. but the weirdest thing is, after i got out, it swam right to me and slithered up my hand. and then i let it go. (i was like, "come here," like i was talking to my puppy... and then i realized, wait tif, snakes dont understand.. but he still came anyway so its chill)
ok so like...
first of all, how did this thing get into my pool.
second, how did i not see this thing before getting into the pool.
third, how long was it actually swimming all up onz before i noticed something weird.
but most importantly, why did it come to me when i was out of the pool?
drew says it was probably attracted to my body heat. BUT I SAY, I AM TIF WEGMANN, SNAKE WHISPERER.

but anyway, it kind of confused me, and it kind of made me not feel like swimming anymore.

drew suggested maybe it meant something...
this is what i found:

"In some cultures snakes are highly regarded and symbolize the ability to transcend into higher levels of consciousness or into areas of knowledge that exist outside perceived time and space. In the pre-Christian days, snakes were considered symbols of fertility, healing, and nurturing (the healing serpent representing a god)."
