Today was so Great!
we (the TAG leaders) had to be at the Sally center at like 6:30, it was rough but we made it.
we had breakfast and then went to the LUCE to finish setting up for Freshman Orientation. a few of us went to get coolers for the Kool-Aid, and we washed them at the Sally center. Then we brought them to the LUCE and made the Kool-aid, it was a good time. our hands were a little red. then it was time to head to our first shift during registration. melissa and i headed to trustees and johnson to help with unloading. i started to drink a mountain dew, but then found out it was from like last april or something and it tasted a little off so i stopped. it was pretty boring b/c apparantly no one lives in trustees. then JD and i headed back to the LUCE... shift number two... i was a greeter.
that was pretty fun.
i was hungry.
melissa gave me some fries, and i saw Jessica!
then i was part of the team for the network orientation sign-up table
that was pretty uneventful so i took pictures with melissa's phone.
registation was done a little after two, and we had to clean up...so we did.
then Kate, Melissa and i went to subway!
i just remembered that i have some left!
then we went to Kate's room and ate and watched tv... and fell asleep.
we woke up in time to be on time for the meeting at Hughes.
we sat through... i guess itwas the president's convocation. or something like it.
TAG leaders left after the first verse of the last song... for the LUCE. to prepare for new connections.
here we would set up the gym with our TAG group signs, and then we did it.
it was amazing like whoa...
the tunnel.
we made a little tunnel of excitement for the freshman.
we jumped, we screamed, we clapped, we laughed, we smiled, you would have thought that we were cheerleaders, or at a concert or something.
the freshman/transfers came in... some looked really confused, but our excitement was uncontainable.
it was so great.
then Andy Bahje led some little icebreakers.
then awesomeness number two happened... we got together for the first time with our TAG groups.
we played games, learned names, and had cookies.
then we went to "the spot" later appropriately renamed "tinsel town" to talk about meals and to pray, and then to depart for sleep.
it was so great, i can't even explain how much.
i am so excited to get to know them all better, and go on TAG events, and things like that ...
TAG dinners, what what !
the end.
