England continued...
Day 6- training session at Liverpool Academy. yep, that was pretty cool. got to train in this nice indoor field. muuuch better than five points. ( it has air conditioning ;] ) thats when i forgot shin guards AND water. luckily coach never found out that i wasnt wearing any "shinnies" so he couldnt get mad at me.
In the afternoon, we traveled to Anfield, where Liverpool plays their home games. It was pretty much like Manchesters stadium, but the tour guide wasnt as good and energetic. During the tour we got to walk down the players tunnel and when we did that, there was the sound of a cheering crowd and as more people started going through, the cheering got louder. that was pretty cool. ( our parents did that for us as we were getting off the bus for our first game) and we got to see, not meet, but just see the new Liverpool player, Djibril Cisse. we all clapped for him and he waved! and i think mr. barnett got a picture of him. not up close or anything. There was a liverpool store at anfield, and of course i had to buy SOMETHING, but i didnt go crazy like at Man U. lol
After Anfield, we were supossed to go to the Liverpool city center. actually, we WENT, but we didnt get off the bus. it was too late go to the beatles museum and no one really wanted to walk around, so we left and THAT'S when we went to see spiderman 2. oooops i was wrong on my last entry...
Day 7-10 : welll, the whole point of even going to England was to play in the Umbro International Cup. So that's what we did for these four days. WE played 5 games and went undefeated & then went on to win the championship game!!!! wooo hooo. we beat the previous years champions, Kent; they're from England. WE played 3 teams from England, one from america, and another from Denmark. The girls over there play pansy soccer. geeez. we would just breathe on them and they would fall over. and then they would have their coaches come on the field and they would ALWAYS CARRY THE MAGIC WATER!!!! lmao!! we were all excited when we won and all, but it wasnt exactly the excitement that some of us felt when we won sweet sixteen and we knew that we were going to final 4. but it was still awesome that we won an international tournament.
well, actually, i think my lack of excitement was becuase i didnt even get to play in the championship game because of my beaslty bruise that i got the day before. holy china, this thing about a foot long! no lie. it happened during the second to last game. i was going for a 50/50 ball and this gurl from the other team came up from the side and her knee went into the side of my thigh and she went through me and knocked me over. Let me tell you, it takes A LOT to knock me over. But I fell, and that was seriously the most and worst pain ive ever felt. right away, as soon as i got off the field, it was starting to bruise and now its all these pretty colors and there's a knot where her knee hit my leg and the swelling is going into my knee. fun stuff.
Lots of stuff happened on day ten... hehe... loooots. there was a cookout that night in the courtyard at the dorms so we all went. around the courtyard there was this arcade that we discovered one night when we were trying to mail postcards. ( i wrote postcards like 3 days before we left and i never mailed them... oops :/ ) but , ya, the arcade was turned into a dance room. and coley, amanda and me reeealy wanted to go dancing so us and a few other gurls from our team and j-dogg and zachdaddy from teh little boys team went in with us. but it wasnst really like everyone in there was all dancing. there was a "dance circle" where people would go in and breakdance or something. it was kinda stupid. so we all wanted to start our own dance circle and we did and then the Brazilian guys team came over and started dancing with us and .... weeelll..... they dance... differently.... in brazil. a couple of the gurls from my team, including me, all got into dancing with the brazilians and they started closing the circle in around us so they could feel us better. and while we were all "dirty dancing" this one father from our group, who was taking pictures of everything during the trip so he could make a DVD, started taking pictures of US!!! dancing with these guys!!! ooomg coley and me freaked out cuz we thought he was gonna show them to coach who would maybe tell our parents ( who werent even on the trip with us, by the way ) or he would put them in the slide show and then our parents would see the pictures there!!! it turned out, that nothing happened and coach said that nobody would get in trouble.... we hope....
while we were dancing, tina, quinn, jenn and everyone else were off talking to the CANADIANS!!! when we got told to leave the dance room, we found them all in a group chatting in up and coley and me went over and said hi and i showed them my bruise and stuff. haha they thought i wuz gonna like moon them or something when i started pulling down my warm-ups!! but sadly, we had to leave them... buuuut... they followed us to our dorms!!! lol we came out of the dining hall and we were sitting on the steps worring about the whole dance pictures situation and zachdaddy said "hey look its the canadians" i didnt believe him but meg got up and looked and he was telling the truth. so coley, meg and i went over and introduced ourselves (we didnt have a chance to do that the first time) and we stood there talking to them for a long time. it wuz soo funny tho. first ryan came over and introduced himself to the guys and was kinda talking to them. THEN, simon came over and shook all their hands and said " thats the hand i pee with. well actually i pee like this." and he demonstrated using both hands. OMFG!! simon is f'in HILARIOUS!! i cant believe that man!! he reminds me of SOMEONE!!! but i dont know who!!! its not really someone i know, but someone from a movie or something. and he's such an alchy too!! haha gooood times!! but coach E. was actually the one who made us leave the Canadians . but before i left i def. got my self some canadian flag pins!! hehe :D AARON IS SOOOO MINE!!! cuz he was the hottest.
Day 11- took a 4 hour bus ride BACK to London where we did some more shopping. i got to go to Lillywhites, this 4.. or was it 6??? story sports department store. it was all cramped and crowded. then coley and me went out to dinner w/ the donnellon's. ya, k dot's dad IS funny (sometimes ;) ) no matter what she says!!!! it was actually pointless going to back to London for 3 hours cuz we were already there for a whole day the week before!! but thats ok, cuz i got to spend it with my loves nicole and k dot!! :D ( huey and Duey. Luey and Daisy were with their parents) After spending a while in London, we got back on the bus and traveled another 45 minutes to get to our hotel. holy china, our hotel looked like the Haunted Mansion!!! or at least the hallways where the rooms were looked like it! there was velvety wallpaper with these creepy patterns. if i had any film left, i would have taken a picture. that night we had a big fancy dinner, which i attended in my pjs!! and no shoes either!! lol after dinner the coaches gave out awards. for our team, marie got "highest goal-scorer!!" wooo gooooo MARIE!!! i <3 U!!! and coley got "best overall preformance in the tournament" (or something like that) but she deserved it! after all that i saw marie crying and i realized that it was because it was her last time being with us all cuz shes on a different team now. :( we all started crying and we had a little crying party for like 15 minutes. damnit im gonna miss you marie!!! <333
Day 12- we got up at the crack of dawn. well, no not actually dawn, cuz dawn in england is about 4 in the morning! but we woke up at 6 anyways, had some not-too-yummy breakfast and headed off to the airport where i had to say goodbye to ZachDaddy and ryan. i still miss both of them by the way. even though zach was a little spaztic at times, he was still my shman hooker from vegas!!
Now that this trip is all over, i really wish it wasnt... it seemed like i spent my whole summer over there. i got home and i have to start school in a week! but i really wish i could go back and do it all over again. I HAD THE TIME OF MY LIFE!! and i really needed that vacation. it gave me time away from my family and gave me a chance to spend even MORE time with my saturn gurls!! which i LOVE WITH ALL MY HEART, by the way!!! most of all, im soo glad that i got to talk to nicole, katie and ellen about stuff that ive never talked about to ANYONE before in my life. it felt so good to open up to them cuz i know that they understood. i just wish i could find some people around here that i could do the same with. . .
