Show me how defenceless you really are {Part 3}

Now let me skip a  year...Kit and I are a couple. We're in our last year of school and we don't give a damn about what other people think about us.
This particular day is a rainy day. I have my black baggy jeans on and a 'Nirvana' Tee on..she has a tartan shirt on, fishnet tights, a 'Hole' tee on and her hair is tied back into a slack pony tail. She looks as beautiful as ever. My heart skips a beat as she slips her slim fingers inbetween mine and squeezes my hand. I put my other hand on her waist and pull her in for a soft gentle kiss in the rain, I know she loves them as much as I do.
That day started off so perfect, as did most days when she was in my life. I had an Art class and then bell rang so I kissed her goodbye and waved to her as I walked into the main building, leaving her at the bottom of the steps smiling up at me and waiting, soaking wet, in the rain for her friends. That lesson brought complications, complications that I had thought had left me when I got with one of the most popular princess' in the school.
Mike, a strong but, dare I say it, thick, guy walked up behind me and hit me over the head with a rolling brush. I can't remember much else. Well I do, but it's all in film mode, you know, the way you remember most things but you can only rmember it from another persons point of veiw?
He pushed me down and stood on my stomach, when I was down he spat on my face and feircly declared that "If I ever went near Kit again he would kill me"
I lay there, in a curled up ball and blinked back tears. I must have lay there for a little while because I only got up when the bell went.
I avoided everyone, kept myself busy at lunch and break, didn't want to explain the red mark I had on the side of my face of the bruise just above my eyebrow. I just wanted to get home. Home, sweet, safe home.
