So this Sweeney Todd trailer is NOT OKAY WITH ME.
Johnny Depp's singing sounds like ass. Helena must REALLY suck, because Lovett is such a HUGE role and such an important character and has so many songs, and they didn't even show ONE? Yeah.
The .5 seconds of Johnna I saw looked fine to me. Her eyebrows were too light, though.
The By the Sea sequences look stupid and don't make any sense, because they're never actually SUPPOSED to go to the seashore. It's just Lovett being annoying to Sweeney. That song isn't even important at ALL, they could have CUT IT and left in KISS ME, because Kiss Me actually, ya know, is IMPORTANT TO THE PLOT. I'm glad they kept Green Finch, but I would honestly rather see that gone than have Kiss Me gone. Green Finch is important to Johanna's character development, but Kiss Me is, too. And it serves the purposes of further developing her and Anthony, their relationship, AND moving the plot along. WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU, TIM BURTON?
Where the hell were Toby and Anthony?
Alan Rickman looked fucking creepy, though, which is good.
Overall, I am NOT PLEASED. I don't know. Maybe I'm just expecting WAY too much, because I was lucky enough to see the BRILLIANT, PERFECT revival twice, but... still. I'm disappointed.

Apparently Lauren Pritchard was rushed out of the theatre last night on a stretcher? lollllll I know I shouldn't be laughing, but this is the SECOND time that's happened. Methinks she's a little MeLiDrAmAtIc. I HOPE JENN'S ILSE ON SUNDAY!
Yeah, birthday weekend is this weekend! I'll be spending it in the city with Nick, Kate, Lauren, and Lex. We're seeing SA on the 7th. Boy oh boy will I have good stories when I get back.
