So marching season is officially over. All the hard work, sweat, and blood that we put into our show is over.

Yesterday when we went to our state competition, the anouncer guy named the top 10 reason why we do marching band, and every single one of them was true. Going to school 2 weeks before school starts to sweat and work your butt off while everyone else is sleeping and watching cartoons. The drama that everyone makes, which makes your life more exciting. Whipping the freshman's butts into shape. Staying hours upon hours after school in the beating hot sun, simply because, in the end, we love it. And last, but not least, we make friends with extraordinary people that last a life time. I would not have traded anything about this season for anything in the world.

To everyone that has touched me life, you know who you are. I want to thank you for being so incredibly special to me. As most of you know, the beginning of this school year has not been easy. But you have all been there for me, whether you know it or not. I will never forget any of you. Band has been a way to escape from the real world, but band would not have been the same without every single one of you. You have all put something into it that no one else could. And I appreciate it more than you know.

I'm going to Danny's dad's jazz concert in a few minutes. I'm really looking forward to it; should be fun.
