working on Client Composite during Reading Week

Oct 24, 2008 13:40

So this week is Reading Week for College students in Ontario. Is it the same for college students in other provinces ? I don’t know. Anyhow, I spent a great majority of it playing a card game I rencently learned: Hearts. I learned how to play it two weeks ago, and I tend to go online to play with other players. I noticed the online version of it isn’t as colourful as the version installed on my laptop (which doesn’t allow me to play with other people), but at least online I can play with real life players, and chat with them at the same time.

It is 1:26pm and I am at the school library working on my client composite which is supposed to be 10-12pages written in APA style. For anyone interested in what my current paper has to offer, here is a portion of the paper that I have typed:

F.M.’s primary diagnoses consists of diarrhea, renal colic, and mild dehydration. Her secondary diagnoses includes type 2 diabetes, mirizzis syndrome, acquired jaundice, and secondary gallstones. The computer system revealed that F.M.’s history encompasses thyroid disease, dizziness, cardiac disorders, hypertension, edema, diverticulitis, hemorrhoids, diarrhea, hysterectomy, kidney stones, incontinence, hip replacements to both hips, rheumatoid arthritis, degenerative disk disease in back, and diabetes. Electronic documentation also states F.M. is free of renal disease, kidney cancer, urinary tract infection (UTI), and urinary frequency.

I seem to always have trouble knowing when to use “diagnosis” or “diagnoses”.  Meant to go to the Write-On Centre at school today, but they are not open on Friday of Reading Week. If I realized this ahead of time, I would have went to school the other 4weekdays of this week.

Btw, we (Barrie people) received our first snowfall this week on Tuesday morning around 7:50am. I didn’t see the snow till like 6:15pm when I actually went downstairs and looked out the kitchen window. It is unfortunate that I cannot see the ground when I look out my own bedroom window from the house I reside at, cause the house next door has been built soo close to the house I live in. Does that make sense?

To sum up other news, Mike went up North with his parents yesterday. He would have had to go if he would have just let his parents think he was feeling well. Thanks Mike, now I can’t spend the weekend with you. Would be nice if you would take the extra step to do things that might maximize “us” time.

And today I am going to Pam’s house for dinner. Pam is a nursing student, currently working as a personal support worker (PSW). Mother of two kids, I have not really done much with her for months. It would be good to re-connect.
