Frail Elder paper intro
Today I accidentally messed up my paper and F'd up an introduction to a major paper that I literally spent 3hours on last night.This mess up ocurred when I stupidly replaced the another file, and in doing so I replaced what I needed to what I thought I was saving.
Is any one here good with editing grammer and syntax errors? Here is my intro that I tried to rush through tonight:
As the populations in most countries of the world encounter aging, the health issues that are most common in old age take on increased importance. Among these issues ______________________(I dunno what to put here yet). The motivation behind this paper is to examine the presentation of a specific female resident in a long term care facility. The resident will be identified as E.D. for confidentiality purposes. This paper will discuss three criteria for client processing using health assessment tools. Three in depth assessment areas that will be explored include pain, mobility, and nutrition. Pain will be considered due to the fact that the resident has diabetic neuropathy; since she is in a wheelchair, an activity/mobility assessment will be used, and because she is a diabetic, nutrition will be examined. By assessing these three areas, and integrating assessment findings with research from textbooks and journal articles, a portrait of this client’s health will be developed. Discussion in this research paper will include observations from a one-on-one interview with the frail elder, information from the selected client, staff, and charts which will be verified with information from scholarly sources. This paper will also observe how the health selected issues affect the client and offer insight regarding the frail elderly from assessments and reflections. The competencies necessary in caring for this special population will be addressed, in hopes of raising awareness about what is essential in a caregiver role that is focused in maintaining optimal wellness for a patient living with common chronic illnesses.
It's kind of a long intro, but the paper itself is supposed to be 8-10pages long, so I needed to provide an overview of the paper that covers the main focuses of the paper.
