Friday Night , Saturday Morning...
It's been an excellent Saturday Morning! Super sunny and generally warmish. The added bonus of birds chirping makes me much happier! Go Spring!
Waited up most of the day yesterday for the delivery guys . They showed up around 1:30pm with the new mattress. It's completely amazing. King Koil pillow top goodness. Didn't take long to set up either. So, the bedroom is one step closer to completion.
John got home around 4pm. We sat and did a bit of the crossword. Just some downtime antics before going out for dinner. Dinner was great! John couldn't get over the cabbage rolls. Dessert was excellent!
After dinner, rented "Legend Of The Black Scorpion" Kinda flat and was expecting more. So watched "Sweeny Todd" again. Couldn't be happier with Burton/Depp!!
Woke up around 8am. John started coffee and we made an attempt to finish more crosswords. Not bad!
John called up our friend David and now they're out power shopping. I'm doing housework and baking. My sweet tooth was calling. So I have three loaves of Spicy Banana Bread with Orange Cinnamon Glaze. The Chocolate Cinnamon Bread ( 3 Loaves) are just finishing up in the oven now. It's a great recipe stolen from Starbucks.
Patched up the hole I made in bedroom from "Hammer Rage". (Was a rough day with trim moulding!) Looks great.
Now, I'm working on the headboard for the bed.. Tons of sanding. The great thing is we're using the exsisting headboard and we'll just end up painting it and adding some padded panels in the middle. Should look good!
So, it's a busy Saturday. With many lazy breaks inbetween. Just what the doctor ordered!
