The Ouchless Bandaid
I really do wish someone would come up with a bandaid that's actually ouchless. For some reason I've used several brands of bandaids and they just seem to fuse to my skin and hair. Smarts a bit while you're ripping it off like a Nair hair removal strip. Never pleasant!
I looked at the calender this morning and realized that several birthdays are coming up. Never an issue really. Close friends I send a card off and try to make plans. Now, for some people that I chat with and don't know on an intimate level, I always feel funny about sending an "E"card. Some people just don't want to be reminded of their lost youth. Had one person blow a gasket for doing just that. Was wondering what to do. So, to the mass LJ public, "What do you do for that situation?" I'm not out to piss anyone off. Just trying to be polite and send best wishes.
On a positive note, the thaw is on. The snow is slowly making it's way out and we're getting that much closer to spring. Can't wait to work in the yard again and enjoy some sunshine. The house reno is still on hold. Waiting for the insurance adjustor to get his act together. Once he gives the okay, the work crew can come in and repair the holes in the wall upstairs. Once that's completed, the repairs to the damaged kitchen are next. I really can't wait! The roof will be a bit later when the weather improves. So, it's a busy summer. Not what I had planned for. But that's what plans are for, to be changed.
