Who is the gay journalist?

As for America, you can only be a bully so long before someone strikes back. Its hilarious because Americans dont even have a clue about the Islamic culture.

I think its interesting that you find it acceptable to make generalizations about Americans for making generalizations about Islam.. i,e we all don't know anything. i,e they are all terrorists.

Not all Americans are idoits , granted we have one in the White House but that doesnt speak for everyone. For instance Bush didn't win New York where most of the families affected by 9-11 live. Have you ever seen pictures of the anti-war marches in NYC? This war is very unpopular even in the middle of America. I don't discount that our government has done terrible things all over the world. But thinking that all of us support is a mistake.

I know that all of you don't support it.
But after the war started Bush won a second election. So enough of you supported Bush and the "war on terror". This time around I'm sure the majority will elect a Democrat because the mood of the war and republicans are changing, but it took an awful long damn time.

But you're right, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe a majority, or let's say even half have an understanding of Islam. I don't think the american population doesn't have an ability to understand, I think they don't have the opportunity of a fair media or a large enough leftist media to get a fair view. And I think if it's not blankly in your face you're unlikely to search it out.

Propaganda is everywhere. Just told me 5 minutes ago that since January suicide bombers have killed 143 people. Let's assume those are all innocent people, I'm sure they are. So what are the numbers for the amount of innocent people the troops have killed. That's what Im saying.

i think you are right about the media and to clarify i wasnt responding to you but rather to "nailedown".. i think the main problem in the last election was the mobilization of the religious right. and in general the nonparticipation of the poor communities in the voting process. a fair media would be a great step for us but frankly i am not holding my breath for it to happen

I've always thought that John Kerry's biggest mistake was not understanding that Hispanics care more about being Catholic than they do about being Hispanic. So when asked if his religion would play a part in him being president, and he said no, he lost a huge amount of the Hispanic vote.
Where Bush did realize that being Christian and having Christian values is much more important to a larger population than taxes, or racism, or poverty or any other social issues.
