at least get your facts straight first. i do understand what you're saying about smoking. it sucks when people make a choice to quit and start again. it sucks when people start in the first place. its horrible to watch family members and friends die because of smoking, i've done it too, i'm sure everyone knows someone who has died of cancer caused by smoking. but at the same time, it sucks to know that people like my mom are going to die due to health problems caused by obesity unless they CHOOSE to change that.

but thats what it is, its a choice, a personal choice. kristel and whoever else will quit when they DECIDE to. they've heard all this shit before... and while i think its great you are concerned for your friends, but don't get this holier than thou attitude because you can develope addictions to food just like you can develope addictions to cigarettes. so i would urge you not to eat as much fast food and to be more health concious about what you put in your body because OBVIOUSLY it can have more of an effect on you than you would think.
