ok so the last week has been pretty damn amazing for me!!
for those who dont know I went on a well deserved break from this shithole to Lanzarote for a week, and apologies to those who couldnt get hold of me, I drained my phone of both credit and battery on purpose.
The most important news is that I am now a fully qualified Open Water scuba diver, after 2.5 days of training and 6 exams. I'm pretty pleased as i did it so quick...it usually takes 4-5days. I can now dive up to 18 metres, although I got to twenty and had the most amazing experience of my life on my last lesiure dive. I saw a 4 metres by 4 metres Atlantic stingray. Just laid on a sandbar, we got to about 4 metres away and just sat and watched it. it was mindblowing. I can only describe scuba diving as the single most amazing thing i have ever done. I also saw giant grouper fish, about a metre by half a metre who were pretty curious and came swimming up to me and Kevin. Loads of cuttlefish, flounders, and even some hunting bonito tuna.
So my plan is now to save up and move out there and become a diving instructor. Most likely at some point this year. Cos coming back to -2 degrees centigrade, a bunch of moaning cunts who live there life through the internet is just not life !!
If i could offer you all one (slightly sanctimonious) message it would be that the world is a fucking amazing and beautiful place, but it wont bring itself to you. You have to go to it.
Now off to go learn more about this amazing living fossil frilled shark discovered last week ! what an amazing discovery !!
