so. i just spent 2 days in canada with lis n kara. and i must say, it was one of the best vacas ever. the whole way there all were doing is laughing and yelling about where to go, with me n kara reading the map. by the way, canadian highways are confusing. theres like 16 lanes, and you can take any of these 4 to get to 407, but this one doesnt really go there, and 407 magically ends and starts again, and then you take 400 straight up north, and its not cool when your moving 10 feet an hr and theres huge trucks on every side of you and its scary.
then we went to wonderland. it was pretty damn awesome. canada, i must say, you did build a very amusing amusment park. with standing roller coasters. that hurt your crotch. yes people, thats right. you stand up while going upsidedown and sideways and all over. which i found pretty cool.
the hotel. momma n da trusted us 3 with our own hotel room. down the hall from theirs. so we proceeded to make coffee late at night, and eat caramel apples and fudge and drink coffee and watch one of the funnier movies ive ever seen. the pest. i loved it. 'ooohhh noooo, somebodys turned me into a walkie talkie!! help meeeeee help meeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!' then of course, me and kara are like hyper beyond anything, and lis wants to go to sleep cuz caffeine doesnt affect her, and then the pillow starts blinking, and karas fondling my head, and were all possessed, and climbing up walls.
the next morning we got up. and ate breakfast. and packed up, then headed to the ROM. royal museum of ontario? i think. all i know is its the ROM. we walked around, saw some dinos, smuggled some sugar, read about history, took illegal pictures, and bought a stegosaurus.
then we went and found the dock for the ferry, but still had like 2 hours before we had to be there. so we went to the CN/CNN/see an N?/C and N/C n N tower. me and kara bought pepsi and i won doritos. she won pepsi, but never got it cuz it had to be redeemed in canada. they gave me my doritos right there. and we ate them. then we didnt go up the tower cuz it was a lonnnnnnng wait and we had to be back to the docks in an hour. so we wandered around the gift shop and almost bought prop plane shirts, but didnt and then drove back to the docks for the big boat. saw it coming. it was BIG. if youve never actually seen the fast ferry up close and personal right beside you, you cant fathom how big it is when youre looking up at it. its kinda scary.
we got on the boat. it was biiiiiiiiiiiiig. theres movie theaters, and lotsa seats, 2 bars, a food area with a little cafe type thingy, and docks that get reallllllll windy when the boats going 50 mph across the lake. when it left the dock, it did a k turn. it was funny. at least i found it so. we went to go get food after watching toronto dissapear from teh deck, and decided to just get a whole pizza for the three of us cuz we were hungry. so we got a whole pizza, and we ate it. then we ate a piece of cheesecake, and some of da's chicken wings that he didnt eat. then we checked out the duty free, and then decided to go get cappucino. so we walk up to the counter, and the guy we had been talking to before who got us the pizza just looks at us and were like yea were back! and he was like ...you have the appetites of men. and me and kara just looked at each other and were like ...should we tell him about the double big macs? 0.o
thats right people. up in canada, they have 3 story mcdonalds. with seating on 3 floors. they serve grilled cheese as a happy meal choice, instead of only having 3 (hamburger, cheeseburger, and chicken nuggets). they have fresh toasted deli sandwhiches. like fancy kind. roast beef and provolone on rye. and. the best. me and kara saw it, and she was like ill do it if you will. and i was like OK. so we both ordered double big macs . did anyone else know they had those?! i didnt. we ate them. and they were gooooooooooooood. and they had these crazy kinds of mcflurrys that were like caramel oreo cookie and rolo and smartie fudge and things like that. no joke. it was soooooo weird. canadians really know how to do mcdonalds.
anyways, back to the boat. we got coffee, played cards. went up on deck. saw some girl almost loose her skirt. saw some kid loose his hat. went back down. docked. went to the car. drove home. watched detroit rock city. which was pretty funny.
now im home. back in RAH-chester. where people dont just step off the curb in confidence that no one will hit them. (and, no one does.) people here are like playing frogger to get across the road. but not in canada. they just assume that theyre safe, and the scary part is, they are.
