Wow, sorry, just had to get that out, I was so relieved.
Yeah, so I basically freaked out Saturday night after days of not sleeping, woke my rez fellow up and demanded a room change. Here is a quick itinerary of my sleeping attempts last week:
Monday: Slept, yay.
Tuesday: Woken up between 12:30-3am by roommates and random girls extremely
high and giggling, and playing gangster rap.
Wednesday: Woken up by guitar playing at 3:30am
Thursday: Woken up by roommates and people from other rooms getting in a fight in
the kitchen, knocking over the kitchen table at 4am.
Friday: Came home from No Use for a Name to find both bathrooms covered in vomit,
fell asleep to pounding rap music by 4:30 am, had to get up at 8am.
So yeah, that sucked. Did Foot Patrol training all day Saturday which was fun at least. I got to drive a tunnel cart, highlight of my undergraduate life I am sure.
Anyways, I gave up my single room with what has come to be widely acknowledged as with the worst roommates ever, applied the old Sears charm to the housing manager and moved in with Travis. It's alright, having a double is actallly pretty cool. First of all our room is huge, like 12 by 20 or something. And we put our bookshelfs between our beds like a big wall so it feels a bit more private while sleeping. Down to one bathroom for 4 people from 2, but the guys here are clean. We're actually getting a new roommmate in the other room in the suite, we grilled him yesterday, apparntly he doesn't own a stereo and is slightly compulsive with cleaning. Damn.
Got my first university assignment ever back, worth a massive 5% of my Controversies in Society course, 95%. This will surely skew my expectations of future marks. It was a good day for ego boosting, as my poli sci TA wouldn't let me talk anymore in the tutorial group since i "clearly know what you're talking about". I need some abuse to balance the ego back out, thankfully I'm bound to run into Kristin or Al today so that will be taken care of.
