hurricane katrina
i felt sick to my stomache after reading an article that described how the staff of a nursing home left their bed-ridden elderly patients to die after flooding began to occur during Hurricane Katrina. so, when firefighters and relief workers went after the waters had receded, they found over 30 bodies. i mean, i understand the "fight or die" mentality of ppl, but i dunno... i feel helpless and horibbly, horribly sad. my mom and dad are never going to a nursing home. i'm going to take care of them. godddddddddddddddddddd =(
