i'm alive in You
well, i did it.
i grabbed my ipod, jumped on my little red beach cruiser and
went for a ride. i forget how beautiful it is here.
there are all sorts of trails and paths all over the place.
the sky is perfectly blue, not a cloud in it. 78 degrees.
leaves crunching under the tires. hills dressed in green.
mountains cloaked in snow. barely anyone was out. but those
who were, passed on paths with smiles, nods, and hellos.
i rode along the path behind my neighborhood for a few miles
then stopped to rest in the shade at a local primary school.
i sat on homebase and sang a song or two. on my way back,
i stopped at the playground and spent time on the swings...
toes reaching for palm trees and sunshine. listening to
kids squeal and spin on the tire swing. then i came home.
it's really no wonder we get so down about life when we don't
take the time to do things like this. really, friends...go.
