i am the victim of a possible attempt at identity theft.
color me excited.
i put paid bills out on the mailbox this morning for the
mailman to pick up...and they disappeared before he came.

so...yeah...guess how i spent my whole saturday?
calling the bank, paying stop-check fees, calling credit
bureaus, calling the companies i was paying (most aren't
open till tuesday...grr) to protect my info, transferring
all the money out of my checking account, etc etc.

lesson: don't stick your bills on your mailbox for the
mailman to pick up! pay them online!

i talked to a t-mobile rep at the headquarters in nashville
who helped me make sure all my info was protected. such a
nice guy...he was actually a victim of identity theft last
year and said he's still trying to get it all cleaned up.
stink. he helped me out and gave me tips on what to do.
i've missed those nashville accents.
