in the past week, i've had the privilege of being around
the two groups of people who encourage me and show me Jesus
more than any other group of people.

i was with the first group in denver all week. ages 19-60.
we all act around 16 years old when we're together. these are
people driven by prayer and who do everything for the glory of
the Lord. we were in "business" meetings all week...and i think
we spent more time praying and laughing together than anything else.

i was with the second group tonight at my house. ages 15-18.
the high school students i work with...from various campuses all over
the city. these kids inspire me and encourage me in the way they
love Jesus and desire to see His love impact this world. they want
to see the Lord's love change the lives around them the way it has
changed theirs. not only that, but they are a constant encouragement
to me and always helping me clean up and expressing their gratitude to
me for all i do. the thing is...THEY are the ones who serve me...and
i can only turn around and thank them. i am just beyond blessed to have
the opportunity to be around them. for all the crap going on in the world,
and for all the lies that young people are taken by...this is a group of kids
whose eyes and hearts are driven by the greatest Love there is. so refreshing.

this = i love my job. it's not a job...it's a privilege...really.
it can be really, really hard at times...and i may get extremely busy...
but it just means that i end up extremely blessed.
thank You, my Jesus, for allowing me to spend my life this way.

"it's all about You, Jesus...
and all this is for You,
for Your glory and Your fame.
it's not about me, as if You
should do things my way.
You alone are God, and I surrender."
