So FINALLY, two years after it aired, I saw the Season Finale of Six Feet Under. Six Feet Under is far and away, hands down my favorite tv show of all time. I have never been so entertained or moved by anything on tv before. The concept of the show, the amazing talents of the actors, and the innovation of the writing and the storylines continue to impress me every time I see it. Over the past week I have been on a marathon viewing to finish season 4 and then I watched all of season 5 between saturday and today. Considering how many critics have called the season finale "one of the finest hours in television history" I knew I was in for a ride, considering how the show has already, on numerous occasions moved me to tears (which does NOT happen easily). I am so attached to all of the immediate and extended members of the Fisher family that I didn't know what to expect. An hour later I was literally SOBBING on my couch.... as in, LOUDLY CRYING. I couldn't get over it. I think part of it was I actually feel like I'm going to miss the characters (which is totally stupid because it's just a show)... or maybe I'm just upset because I've seen the entire series now and that's it.

I won't give away anything.... all I can say is... I will NEVER get over that ending. Rico hasn't seen the end yet so we have to watch the second half of season 4 and all of season 5..... I just couldn't wait any longer If you're a fan of the show you really should treat yourself at some point to the entire series box set. The extras are amazing and it comes with both soundtrack cd's.
