(no subject)
i am with my mom in the emergency room because she has severe pain on the right side of her abdomen and a fever. they still have to do a CT scan and a sonogram, but it's looking like it could possibly be her gall bladder (hey, at least i have some experience in this area).
i am super freaked out. my mom is being really melodramatic. i do believe she is in pain but she wails anytime someone touches her stomach and she is acting like she is dying. i hate hospitals because they remind me of my dad, and i am all alone with her because my sister is back at school and it's really too late for anyone else to be here. i did talk to dave and he said he would be here if things get really bad, but basically there's nothing that i can do right now but sit with her.
i'm really tired and they just give you this one really uncomfortable chair to sit in - i think it's to encourage you to go back to the waiting room instead of hanging out in the room where you can be a nuisance.
at least i brought my laptop (but not my secure id - so i can't email anyone from work, ha) and they have free wireless here.
