2008 Siempre Fuerte De Konsencia

I am very excited to say good-bye to 2007, although it held its wonderful moments and learning experiences, it was still a bit of a rough year, well at least defiitely the latter half. 2008, I am anxious to say, holds some very exciting things. For one, I don't think anyone else should be getting in any more car accidents (knock on wood). We should ( Read more... )

I am so glad that you're really looking forward to 2008 in every aspect: school, life, etc. Weird how time has flown huh? Four years ago, we were in our last semester of high school, and senioritis was really kicking in. Fast forward to now, we are finishing up college, getting ready to enter the real world and become professionals.

I understand about the professor thing, there are just people who you just can't help but admire. I had a professor last year (she was a woman though) who I thought was just, wow. She was awesome. She was hard, very hard, but I understood why. This year, I have a professor, he's a guy, who I find cute, but not cute in that way, cute in the way he acts. In other words, I find him adorable with his little accent, and the way he made the class interesting AND relevant.

Six classes, wow woman! *bows down to you* That's great! I'm glad that you've found what you're truly passionate for, I'm still searching for my passion, I am not sure if marketing is it, or not in the way some people describe it. Not that I hate my classes, or i hate marketing, I'm just not sure. I'm taking four, and there are group projects in each of those classes :(. Not that I mind, but it's just going to be hard meeting with four different groups each week. And I'm scared to graduate. This comment is getting rather long, and somehow I turned it into talking about me and blah blah lol. Anyways, to wrap up, keep up that way of looking at life!! Te admiro!

Crap! I had just written so much and it all was lost! Let me see if I can repeat it all. I said Keep your comment going I liked what you were saying. I hope to not disappoint you, when I tell you that I dropped a class. The class I dropped wasn't for my major and I learned that it is offered three times a year so I decided to take the classes that were for my major, concentrate on those (which are only offered in the spring anyways) and then, take the class I wanted to online next semester when I am just working on my second internship. I can probably get a lot more out of the classs that way as well and I'll drop a knotch on the stress factor this semester.

Also, regarding school you should take some classes in other things you are interested in just to play the feild. I think it is much better to test the water in other areas and see if you really enjoy something than get in college and get out and leave with something you like so so. Now is the time, you have financial aid, youre young, you have time. What's the rush to finish immediately, if you'll have to spend teh rest of your life in that career anyways.

Next time I see you, I want you to please tell me what it was about that teacher that you liked so much and what are the things that you really like about your professor this semester.

I wish you teh best of luck in everything Natalie and let me know if you need help with anything.

Oh and I also understand about group projects they are a bit of more work because you have to get in contact with one another, assign tasks, meet, take time to meet with them, wait for someone to do their share, etc etc. the more is not the merrier.

boo I hate when livejournal does that, and it usually does it when you've just written the best thing ever.

I'm not disappointed, 5 classes is still a lot, and it's better to concentrate on your major anywyas.

I thought about "testing the waters," I tried to do that last year before I signed up for the fall 2007 classes, where I went to my counselor but my counselor is a #&%^%#$%^& and told me that was not a good idea. I basically wanted to take languages, and have like a foreign language minor or something like that, and i thought it will probably help me with marketing because what if I were to travel or do international marketing? I would have been helpful. Also, i like looking and studying other cultures. Well, anyways, my counselor says, "If all you want to do is learn a foreign language, there are cheaper ways to do that," and she was so mean about it, that it turned me off. Everyone in my major hates her lol.

Oh definitely, she was just so amazing, and connected, and taught us about the real world. She taught us how we should start networking, and how it's very important. She was just amazing.

so what are these cheaper ways?

do that natalie! if you want to take some foreign languages, take it. you never know, you might end up being a french teacher! ok jk or no there is many more things you can do. little jobs that no one ever thinks of. actually just by having a degree and speaking spanish you can get soem interesting jobs working for the government.

probably those tapes and books that they sell, that's the vibe I got from her. But, those really don't teach you like, the essence of the language, you know? I don't know, I think you learn a language best in a classroom because you have someone there to ask for help if you're having trouble pronouncing a word or something. Because if books really could teach you everything on your known, no one would need to go to school.

yeah, I mean, it's a little late to do that now ):. I'm already in my last semester, but maybe i can come back and do another degree or something once i find what I want to do, or if things don't work out.

but definitely! being fluent in spanish is already an advantage!!
