today i had a babysitting job from hades.

cute kids, &i was glad to do the favor, &glad to get the money, &SO THANKFUL to get the extra money for doing extra work, but man. i'm still recovering. one was constantly fussy, two kept trying to kill each other, &the other kept trying to kill herself. luckily, i made the fussy one nap [call it tough love &preservation of my sanity] &made sure the other kids were unsuccessful in their endeavors. &today was after yesterday [weird, huh?], when i had to watch 6 kids under the age of four @church by myself, &after VBS last month with 24 almost-first-graders in one amazingly small room. all in all, i have come to a conclusion: i really do want kids someday. they are a ton of work, but they're awesome.

the great thing is that recently i discovered that there are a LOT of good shows out there in the next month, ones i really don't want to miss this time around, but i hadn't any way of paying for tickets. after today, plus yesterday &last week at church, &[i think] working two days @UCLA next week, i can go the shows i want most AND have some left to save &spend on my dorm stuff. God's wonderful. i even found someone to go with to the format/limbeck/hellogoodbye show next weekend - the lovely nicole alvarado moviemoment - &i think we're going to P-town tomorrow to purchase the tix. represent'n'.
