what is cheating? i've asked this before, but seriously ... what is ok? what's not?

hypothetical situation: you're dating someone. casually. but definitely together. what's ok?

is it ok to hook up with a member of the same sex? opposite sex?
is it ok to hook up as long as you don't have sex?
it it ok to kiss as long as you don't hook up?
is it ok to hook up with an ex?
is it ok to want to hook up with someone else?
should sexual desire override feelings (of like, love, whatev) you have for someone else?
is it ok to go to a bar/club alone or just with your friends?
is it ok to hang with other guys?
is it ok to hang with an ex?
is it ok to constantly talk about other people you'd like to screw?
how much time are you supposed to spend with someone?
is it ok do your own thing and not seek their advice/opinion on what you do?
is it ok to make plans on your own?
should you judge them for what they might have done in the past or give them the benefit of the doubt, hoping they don't make mistakes?
what would you do if your bf/gf hooked up with someone of the opposite sex? same sex? is one worse than the other?
what about if they were hanging with an ex? someone they met?

i want serious thoughts. i want answers. i want to know. consider me oprah today. come on, i won't even judge.
