I have an urgent and horrifying news story.........cannonball!
Ok i really do have a couple stupid fucking livejournal rumours(and i don't know why i am doing this) to clear up. Recently i signed antigiz liz's livejournal. Her post went something like this. "Im taking karate so i can beat up guys who try to rape me" There was more and it was worded differently but thats what i got out of it. NOW many of you are saying "well thats not a bad thing, its a tough society for a girl these days and they need to be strong to ward off rapists and bad guys and shit". I feel the same way people, but you have to understand my sence of humour. you see what i posted as a comment went a little something like "I think your conceited if you think your gonna get raped". Now isn't that just so obsene, offensive and horrifying that its hilarious! No? well i thought it was and thats why i put it. Sorry Liz if you thought i was serious, im not really a jerk i just don't take livejournal seriously. Im not mysoginistic, i don't hate feminists or anything like that. Now i did have some seperate views with erica and others about the idea of feminism but in no way did i mean it in a "Im a man so im better than you, and woman are on a lower level" kind of way. I am just as much a pro-choice, pro-womans rights person as any of you, i just had something to say about feminism and some questions i wanted answered. PLEASE people just stop and see the humour in this whole stupid situation, ITS LIVEJOURNAL! Arent we supposed to be making fun of kids who take it seriously?
