A long overdue update.
Between my night shifts I thought I would make a quick update to let you all know that I am still alive and doing quite well.
Both Graham and I are going to school and working full time. Him as a paramedic and I am at the ARC here working in a residence. I love my job and have been there 9 months and think that I just might stay there for a while!
We are planning to move to Ithaca in Dec-Jan and have just applied to SUNY Cortland to finish up our bachelor's degrees.
And the biggest news yet...I finally talked Graham into marrying me!
He still doesn't really want to but it seems like it makes sense right now since it seems we are finally grown-ups with real jobs.
Its going to be Nov.24th up at my mom's church. Just some family and close friends.
And a fall theme...my dress is brown with a maroon jacket (so i don't freeze in the cold Adirondack winter). Graham's mom can't "wrap her head" around the fact that my dress is brown. She was expecting my mom to be really traditional and so did I, but she has been really great and supportive of whatever we want to do since we are getting married catholic and it's such a big deal to her.
Other then that, my life pretty much consists of school, work, and trying to get out there on the bikes we just bought last week without getting hit by a car on this crazy road we live on.
I hate living here and can't wait to find some culture and get away from the self-proclaimed "rednecks" here in the Elmira/Horseheads area. A year in a half will be enough for me.
