My mom had her surgery today.
Talk about an emotional day.
It was only supposed to last for about 2 hours. We got there (Wyandotte Hospital) at 10:30 a.m., she didn't go into surgery until about 12:30, 12:45ish. Allowing for recovery time, we were supposed to be able to see her at about 3:30. It ended up taking longer than they expected so she didn't get OUT of surgery until about 5:00. They told us it would be about an hour before we could see her (we had to wait until she woke up). An hour passed and they told us another hour. Then she was awake but she was in a lot of pain so we still couldn't see her. They told us that at around 7:00. FINALLY, around 8:40, they told us that she was being moved to a room and that we could meet her there. Finally got to see her. She says she's in a lot of pain though. She's hooked up to morphine and an epidural so she shouldn't be able to feel anything but I don't know. The doctor says that after the three week recovery period she should be feeling GREAT. Much better than before, which is awesome.
Anywho, I'm pretty exhausted so I think I'm going to go to the Triple Dipper and see Abbey and Kerry.
