it was burning. the sky was blood red. the sun slipped into the ocean, and your arms did the same around me. such colors i had never seen in the sky before. and i had never experienced emotions of this sort either. just like the colors, they were bold and amazing, inescapable and probably not to be seen again. it was my once-in-a-lifetime chance. to see something so beautiful and to live it at the same time. with my head resting on your shoulder, i imagined the waves coming up over us and sweeping us as we were into the depths of forever, never to be disturbed or disrupted. a gentle suicide in love. to be taken away with you forever is just an extravagant wish perhaps to never come. but in that moment, i enjoyed what we had. with a look into your eyes i could see forever staring back at me. and in silence i prayed that that is what could be read in mine. i layed down as the final rays of sunlight faded from the sky. with your arm over my waist, we fell asleep under the cover of coming night. and the sky finally bent down to kiss the ocean goodnight.
