so when salmon are old and know when theyre about to die, they swim upstream to lay their little salmon eggs. they fight and push and when they finnally get there, they lay their eggs and then its their time to go. but if halfway up the stream they realize they dont want to swim upstream any longer or they physically cant, they turn around and swim downstream. once they turn around, they end up drowning. it has something to do with their gills.
why the story, you ask?
after a president has finished their 4 year term, they keep "swimming" upstream, fighting to hold on when finnaly after 8 years it is their time. but say he just cant fight hard enough, and a new president comes along and "swims" the oppostite way. they dont know whats going to come of their presidency. just like the fish didnt know it was going to die if it gave up.
