The sound of fire crackling echoed through the silent room as Hyukjae relaxed comfortably in a cushioned sofa near the warmth, casually flipping through the pages of a hardback book. The glow of the fire glinted off Hyukjae’s face, giving him an almost ethereal shine, illuminating his strong jawline and reflecting off his blonde hair.

Hyukjae glanced up occasionally, looking first at the doorway to the library, and then turning to the wall behind him, made of only glass windows with frames for support. There was light snowfall outside - nothing too hazardous - and the snowflakes fluttered past the windows and towards the ground. Unconsciously a small smile crept onto Hyukjae’s lips as he watched the snow float with the wind from his second floor view, basking in the heat of the fire in the hearth.

When the empty library’s silence was shattered by the low creak of the doors opening, Hyukjae’s chin snapped up, trying to peep to see the new occupant of the library between the multiple bookshelves blocking his view. It wasn’t until he heard a soft voice through the air that Hyukjae realized who had entered.

“Hyukkie?” Donghae called, trying to keep his voice at a minimum even though they were alone.

Hyukjae grinned before replying. “I’m in the back, Hae!” He didn’t even bother lowering his volume. “I’m near the fireplace.”

Donghae’s voice literally conveyed the smile the younger was obviously wearing. “Okay!”

Hyukjae heard Donghae’s footsteps approach his quiet corner before the boy actually appeared, bearing a smile like Hyukjae knew he would. Hyukjae closed his book, slipping his bookmark between the pages before looking up at Donghae, patting the arm of his sofa to offer Donghae a seat.

The younger gladly took it, hopping onto the armrest of the sofa and leaning in, towards Hyukjae.

“What are you reading?” he asked curiously.

“Just a book,” Hyukjae replied, placing the novel onto the ground. “What’s going on?”

Donghae grinned. “Nothing!” he answered in a sing-song voice, a little too innocently for Hyukjae’s liking.

Hyukjae raised an eyebrow before laughing. “If you want to sound innocent, don’t try to act innocent, Hae!”

Donghae pouted. “Fine, but I’m not telling you!”

Hyukjae chuckled again. He turned slightly and wrapped his arms around Donghae’s waist, which was about at the height as his head because of how the younger was balancing on the arm of the sofa. He pulled Donghae down from the elevated height and onto his lap, where Donghae landed with a small giggle. Donghae twisted and turned in his new location until he was comfortable, a position which ended up being lying down on Hyukjae’s lap, his head on one arm of the armchair, torso on Hyukjae’s lap and legs propped over the other arm.

Hyukjae’s fingers unconsciously ran through Donghae’s brunette locks, playing with the strands aimlessly. Donghae sighed contentedly and snuggled towards Hyukjae’s body and the warmth and comfort that came with it.

“Do you want to go outside?” Hyukjae asked, momentarily tearing his eyes from Donghae to glance outside the large panels of glass behind them.

Donghae shook his head, smiling sweetly. “I like it in here, with you,” he replied.

Hyukjae grinned, his gums showing slightly. “You’re the best, Donghae!” He reached for Donghae’s hand with his free hand and intertwined their fingers, locking their hands together.

Donghae chuckled. “Flattery isn’t going to get you anywhere! It’s a surprise!”

It was Hyukjae’s turn to pout now. “Hmph,” he made a noise of indignation and turned his head, faking an angry expression. Donghae looked at Hyukjae with wide eyes from the latter’s lap. As silence filled the air between them, the only sound was the fire crackling brightly in the nearby hearth.

Donghae sat up, grabbing Hyukjae by the shoulders. “Hyukkie!” he cried. “Don’t be mad at me! I’ll tell you, I’ll tell you!”

Hyukjae turned back to Donghae with a grin. When the latter saw that Hyukjae had only been faking, he relaxed back into his lying down position, a frown grazing his lips. Hyukjae laughed brightly and ruffled Donghae’s hair at the sight, making the younger pout even further, his bottom lip jutting out.

“Are you still going to tell me?” Hyukjae joked.

“No!” Donghae answered, crossing his arms across his chest.  “And now you’re never going to find out!” he threatened.

Hyukjae licked his lips, smirking as an idea formed in his mind. “I’ll just have to make you tell me, won’t I?” he asked, and Donghae felt a smile tugging at his lips.

“I’d like to see you try, Hyukkie!” he retorted. “I’ll nev--,” his words were cut short when Hyukjae’s fingers suddenly attacked Donghae’s sides, making the younger scream in surprise and writhe with laughter.

“H-hyukkie! St-stop!” he screamed, still laughing involuntarily.

Hyukjae didn’t let up, only giving Donghae very brief pauses to regain his breath before the tickling continued. Donghae tried to squirm away from Hyukjae’s lap but only succeeded on rolling onto the carpeted ground, hitting it with a dull thud. He pulled Hyukjae with him, and Hyukjae landed on top of Donghae, supporting himself from squishing the younger with his hands and knees on either side of Donghae’s body.

Hyukjae looked down into Donghae’s eyes while Donghae stared up into Hyukjae’s. For a moment, both were silent, letting the two sounds, both of their heavy panting and the burst of sparks from the fire, take over the air. Hyukjae slowly lifted his right hand from the ground, supporting himself with only his left, and began trailing his fingers down Donghae’s side, stroking the soft skin through the fabric of his uniform.

Donghae shivered, biting his lips as Hyukjae caressed his waist, traveling lower to his hip bone. “Hyukkie…,” he let out a breathy moan.

Hyukjae’s eyes changed from slightly lustful to playful and mischievous, and Donghae was suddenly hyper aware of the naughty twinkle in Hyukjae’s eyes. Before he could escape however, Hyukjae’s fingers, already resting on Donghae’s sides, began moving erratically again, and Donghae immediately began writhing in laughter once again, the tickling restarting.

Donghae somewhat oriented himself with Hyukjae, still holding himself up above the other, and launched an attack of his own, throwing his hands into the mix. As soon as Hyukjae could feel Donghae’s hands tickling him, he tried to move away, but Donghae, too quick for Hyukjae, pulled him back down with his legs wrapped around Hyukjae’s waist.

Hyukjae, being unable to hold himself up, collapsed on top of Donghae, lying flat on top of the other. Both he and Donghae were panting, trying to regain as much breath as they could before anything else happened.

“Are you… are you ever going to tell me?” Hyukjae asked, still lying on Donghae.

Donghae shook his head, laughing airily, knowing that Hyukjae could feel the movement of his head. Silence overtook them again and for about half a minute neither of the two spoke. Once Hyukjae had regained his breath, he propped himself up onto his hands and knees again, still hovering above Donghae, dangerously close to the latter’s face with his own.

“H-hyukjae…,” Donghae shivered, seeing how Hyukjae’s pupils had dilated.

The moisture in Donghae’s warm breath reached Hyukjae’s lips, and Hyukjae’s let out a breathy sigh, which in turn reached Donghae’s lips. Hyukjae groaned as Donghae reached his hands up and began massaging Hyukjae’s shoulders, sometimes trailing hand down the older’s toned chest.

Hyukjae lifted a hand and ran it through Donghae’s hair, pushing the mussed locks off of the younger’s forehead and eyes. When he could see Donghae’s entire face, Hyukjae leaned down even further, not letting any space between their bodies. Donghae hands fell from their unconscious wanderings on Hyukjae’s body, landing limp between them, still resting on Hyukjae’s chest but not moving.

“Hae…,” Hyukjae exhaled and Donghae shivered as a chill ran down his spine.

The two of them didn’t break eye contact as Hyukjae leaned his face closer and closer to Donghae’s. Donghae’s breath starting becoming erratic , his chest moving up and down with hurried speed. Along with the obvious lust in Hyukjae’s eyes, Donghae spotted the ever-present mischievous sparkle in the brown orbs. Donghae would have laughed if he hadn’t been so caught up in Hyukjae’s ministrations, the other’s hands slowly stroking Donghae’s cheek, jaw, neck, and chest at a painfully slow pace.

“I’m never… I’m never g-going to tell you, Hyuk…,” Donghae managed, suppressing a small moan when Hyukjae rubbed circular motions onto the junction between Donghae’s neck and collarbone with his thumb.

Hyukjae smirked and cocked an eyebrow, still not looking away from Donghae. “Oh, really?” he whispered.

Donghae nodded, not permitting himself to open his mouth lest he let go of his inhibitions and give Hyukjae what he wanted. Hyukjae’s hand traveled lower, caressing Donghae chest before moving even lower towards his toned abs.

“Let me guess. There’s no surprise, is there?” Hyukjae asked. “You just wanted my attention.” He smirked again.

The blush that instantly covered Donghae’s face was answer enough, and Hyukjae chuckled against the air in front of Donghae’s lips. He removed his hand from Donghae’s body, bringing it back up to its original position at the side of Donghae’s head, mirroring his left hand on the other side of the younger’s head.

Hyukjae pressed their bodies together, which connected like two puzzle pieces with practiced ease. As he closed the distance between the lips, pressing his slightly chapped, plump lips to Donghae’s thin ones, the nearby flames in the hearth weren’t the only things making both the boys feel on fire.

“Don’t moan too loud, Hae. We’re still in a library.”
Donghae breathed out a low groan in response.

A/N: For tesa11! I hope you all liked it. I only have 3(?) more holiday fics to finish up, so I'm hoping to get those finished quickly! The next update, however, will be Suicide Lists II, and then Lovelessly Loved Chapter (whatever I'm on). February is still part of winter, so even if the holiday fics get carried onto next month, that's alright! :)

I said I would post this like... two days ago, so sorry for delay! I hope you all enjoyed it. I actually totally had a fluffy plot in mind for this, and then it kinda turned onto the OTHER path... :P

And cheers for B.A.P.'s debut MV. It's absolutely fantastic. It's directed and taken really well, and the boys have powerful movement, voices, and lyrics. I'm loving them already. (If I could only tell who was who under all the blonde! XD)
