It was snowing outside, but Hyukjae and the other members tried to ignore the wailing noises as the strong gusts of wind blew past the windows. They finished their dinners one by one, and each got up to leave, not even bothering to say goodbye. There was no point since due to the snowstorm all of them decided to stay on the eleventh floor for the night.

Hyukjae walked to the living room, wanting to watch a good movie before turning it in for the night only to find Donghae, who had left the kitchen first, sitting on the couch, wrapped in a blanket, and staring out the window blankly.

“Hae, what are you doing?” he asked curiously.

Donghae snapped out of his daze. “Oh, Hyukkie!” he exclaimed in surprise. “I’m not doing anything…,” his voice trailed off and he fell into his day dreaming again.

“Yah! Hae!” Hyukjae got Donghae’s attention again. “What are you thinking about?”

Donghae scooted to the side of the couch, inviting Hyukjae to join him. The older immediately took up the offer and cuddled up next to Donghae, pulling the blanket around them both and wrapping his arms around Donghae’s waist.

“Hyukkie… how will Santa find his way in all this snow?” he asked worriedly.

“Santa? Hae, you believe in Santa?” Hyukjae asked incredulously, almost bursting with laughter.

“I do now!” Donghae answered stubbornly. “Well… I didn’t before, but when I came here, and we started getting presents every Christmas, I started believing in him again!”

Hyukjae looked at Donghae. “Wait… what?”

Donghae sighed, as if Hyukjae should have understood him the first time. “In Mokpo, I believed in Santa until I was about ten years old. But when I came here and started living in the dorms, we get presents every year! So I started believing in Santa again,” Donghae chirped happily.

Now it was Hyukjae’s turn to sigh. “Donghae-ah… you really believe in Santa, for real?” Donghae nodded cheerfully, and Hyukjae sighed again.

“I really hope Santa comes this year! Maybe Rudolph will light his way through the blizzard!” Donghae exclaimed with a grin on his face, oblivious to the deadpanning look his boyfriend was shooting him. “I can’t wait to get my presents!”

Hyukjae chuckled at his boyfriend’s childishness and got up. Donghae glanced up. “I’m going to go get some strawberry milk, okay?” Donghae nodded and Hyukjae made his way back to the kitchen, where Sungmin was still doing the dishes.

“Sungmin-hyung! Min!” Hyukjae called panicked, in a low whisper.

Sungmin looked up from the sink. “What’s going on?” he asked curiously.

“Donghae believes in Santa, and he’s expecting presents again this year!” Hyukjae exclaimed.

Sungmin’s hands, which were still washing the dishes, froze. “Wait… he seriously believes in Santa?!” Sungmin nearly screamed.

Hyukjae slapped a hand across Sungmin’s mouth before the older could alert Donghae of their conversations. Still keeping his voice soft, Hyukjae said, “Sh… Donghae could hear us! But, yes! He believes in Santa because of how we get presents every year for Christmas!”

Sungmin removed his hands from under the water and dried them quickly on the towel nearby. “But Heechul-hyung is in the army this year! He’s not here!”

“What are we going to do, Minnie?” Hyukjae asked, near hysterics.

“Calm down, calm down,” Sungmin comforted Hyukjae. “We’ll think of something. I can’t believe that Heechul-hyung’s single act of generosity and actual hyung-like behavior would land us in this bigger hole.”

Hyukjae groaned softly. “How are we going to get presents for tomorrow morning? Donghae will be so disappointed!”

“Well we have to do something!” Sungmin exclaimed. “No one wants to put up with a depressed Donghae…”

“He’s my boyfriend, hyung!” Hyukjae pointed out. “I can’t let him become sad or cry…,” he said dejectedly.

Sungmin smiled worriedly and patted Hyukjae on the back. “Don’t worry, Hyuk. We’ll think of something.”

Just then Donghae’s voice sounded from the living room. “Hyukkie!” he whined. “Are you done getting your strawberry milk now?”

Hyukjae glanced up and replied loudly. “I’m coming Hae.”

Sungmin sighed. “I’ll think of something, Hyuk.”

Hyukjae turned to the refrigerator and grabbed a carton of strawberry milk and straw. “Why does the major atheist of the house feel the need to make everyone happy by pretending to be Santa anyways?” he mumbled, frustrated.

Sungmin sighed again as Hyukjae exited the kitchen.

The next morning, Hyukjae woke up earlier than the rest of the members, panicking whne he remembered the date. From across the room, Jungsu, who needed his sleep, woke up with a groan.

“What time is it Hyukjae? And why are you up so early?” he asked.

“Sorry hyung!” Hyukjae apologized. “Go back to sleep. I’m going to become Santa for a bit.”Jungsu started at him in his half awake, half asleep state.

“Oh… okay,” he mumbled before his head hit his pillow again.

Hyukjae propped himself out of bed, making a beeline for the door and opening and closing it softly. He reached the Christmas tree in the living room, bare of presents underneath, when usually, there would be at least ten. Hyukjae sighed.

“Hyukjae? What are you doing up so early?” Hyukjae turned around to see Jongwoon drinking a mug of milk.

“I’m saving Christmas for Donghae, hyung,” Hyukjae answered.

“Do you need help?” Jongwoon offered, and Hyukjae shook his head.

“I already bothered Sungmin-hyung. It’s alright. Go try to get some more sleep, okay?”

Jongwoon nodded and made to exit the living room. “Thanks, Hyuk, and good luck.”

Hyukjae nodded and Jongwoon left, leaving the younger in the living room alone. The decorations and ornaments covering the tree - mostly Donghae’s doing - sparkled and reflected the illumination of the Christmas lights dangling across the branches.

Hyukjae sighed and plopped down near the base of the tree, staring at the empty space with contempt. He ran a hand through his hair, unstyled, and ruffled his short locks a bit, wondering what he should do.

“Hyuk!” he heard a voice call, and when Hyukjae turned around, he saw Sungmin plod out of his and Kyuhyun’s shared room, carrying a stack of about five presents. “Help me with these, will you?”

Hyukjae jumped to his feet and ran to Sungmin, immediately alleviating the older of half the weight. “How did you have time to get these, hyung?” he exclaimed, pleasantly surprised and shocked. “Wow… thank you so much!”

Sungmin smiled at the thanks. “After Donghae pulled you back to the living room, I sent Kyuhyun out to the nearly store to buy a few things.”

Hyukjae paused. “You got Kyuhyun - Kyu, freaking, hyun - to shop for you?” he asked with wide eyes.

Sungmin smiled slyly. “Let’s just say he agreed after a little… bribing…”

Hyukjae mentally shivered in fear but continued on his way to the Christmas tree, placing everything down at the base. “Now all I have to do is wrap them.”

Sungmin nodded. “I’ll be heading back to sleep then.”

“Thanks hyung,” Hyukjae said and Sungmin yawned sleepily before leaving.

Hyukjae grabbed the wrapping paper from a cabinet in the kitchen before seating himself near the presents again. Slowly, he began wrapping presents, one by one, hoping that Donghae wouldn’t wake up. There were only too left when a voice interrupted Hyukjae and his mingling thoughts.

“Hyukkie?” a sleep ridden voice quietly whispered. “Is that you? Why are you awake?”

Hyukjae froze, silently hoping that Donghae wouldn’t come closer and would go back to bed. “Yeah, it’s me. I heard Jongwoon-hyung getting milk and thought I’d get some, too,” he lied, hoping Donghae would believe it.

Fortunately and unfortunately, he did. “Oh!” Donghae chirped happily. “Well, since I’m awake too, I’ll keep you company!”

Hyukjae’s eyes widened as he heard Donghae’s footsteps approaching. He hurriedly started to shove the wrapped presents under the branches of the tree, trying to hide the unwrapped and half-wrapped two.

“Y-you can just go back to sleep, Donghae-ah,” Hyukjae said, trying to get Donghae to turn around.

“No, it’s okay!” Donghae assured Hyukjae. “I’m wide awake now anyway!” He stopped when he saw Hyukjae near the tree, without any milk. “Hey… what are you doing Hyukkie?!” Donghae accused suspiciously.

“N-nothing!” Hyukjae stuttered, trying to appease Donghae’s suspicions.

“Hyukkie!” Donghae nearly screamed. “You’re cheating! Why did you start opening presents before I was awake?!”

Hyukjae’s eyes widened and he nearly laughed out of relief. So Donghae thought he was opening the presents, not wrapping them. “You caught me, Hae!” Hyukjae laughed in a sing-song voice.

“But wait,” Donghae paused. “Where is the torn wrapping paper?” He caught sight of the roll of wrapping paper that Hyukjae had roughly shoved under the tree, behind the stack of presents, in hopes that Donghae wouldn’t spot it. “

“H-hae…,” Hyukjae stuttered. Now Donghae’s Christmas dreams would be shattered! He wouldn’t be able to stand that, and Hyukjae hated seeing his boyfriend unhappy.

“Don’t tell me, Hyukkie… You’re Santa!?” Donghae exclaimed.

“Uh…,” Hyukjae said lamely.

“Oh, Hyukkie! I love you so much! Thank you Hyukkie! Thank you!!” Donghae yelled, waking up the dorm in its entirety.

Donghae flung himself at Hyukjae’s seated form, tumbling them both over as he  threw his arms around Hyukjae’s neck, hugging his boyfriend.  Hyukjae smiled widely and hugged Donghae around the waist, pulling him closer and onto the older’s lap.

When the members sleepily woke from their beds and entered the living room to see what the entire ruckus was about, they were met with the scene of Donghae and Hyukjae sharing a sweet, loving kiss.

“Merry Christmas, Donghae,” Hyukjae said and smiled when they had pulled apart.

Donghae grinned, his eyes sparkling with a happiness that made Hyukjae want to smile too. “Merry Christmas, my Santa Hyukkie!”

A/N: for kuroneko96pro! Sorry for the delay. I’ve been working on this for 3 days, but I’ve been so busy that even something this short took that long…

So, there are two updates I have to talk about right now:

For those of you who requested holiday fics, they are in the works, don’t you worry, however, I will be working longer than my planned Jan. 2. I’ll try to get as many out as possible, but a lot happened over the holidays and I was busy a lot more than previously expected. Holiday Wish List, however, will be closed on Jan. 2.

As for you who read my f-locked post about my life, I didn’t ask him that day, but I’m going to today. I have to… I guess. I really need to know, and I’ll do my best. Fighting!
